QBSQL - Best Practices
When setting up QBSQL to work with your company files, we recommend you follow these best practices.
We have nearly a decade of experience working with QuickBooks, QODBC and of course QBSQL and have developed a checklist of steps
that will ensure that you have the least number of issues.
As you know, QuickBooks has some quirks and we have found that if you fail to adhere to the steps outlined in the following articles;
you’re guaranteed to encounter issues with synchronization. So, in order to explain ‘why’ you need to follow these steps we need to
explain how QuickBooks works with “Integrated Applications” and how Integrated Applications are Authorized (or allowed by QuickBooks)
to access the data within your company file.
In addition, we’ll explain the detailed steps that you should follow in order to make the process of synchronizing your company files as
seemless as possible.
Make sure you read all of the links provided below to gain a complete understanding as to how everything works together and why you
need to perform these steps for a satisfactory result. If you haven’t already read the following articles, please do so to achieve a complete
understanding.
