STEP 1) INSTALL MICROSOFT SQL SERVER

If you already have Microsoft SQL Server installed, please skip to the next step.

If you’re unfamiliar with Microsoft SQL Server, don’t worry - it’s simple to install and simple to use.  In fact if you’ve used Microsoft Access in the past you’ll be comfortable with it in no time while enjoying the speed and power that it provides over Microsoft Access.

1) SQL Server must be installed either locally on your computer or alternatively on your corporate network.

• Download the Free Edition of SQL Server here.  
• Download SQL Server Management Console here.

Click the two links for SQL Server mentioned in Dot Point 1 above and save the files to your computer.
